Quality Inspector - Medical Device Manufacturing

Pay Rate: $20-22 per hour

Ultimate Staffing is partnering with a medical device manufacturer to identify a detail-oriented Quality Inspector. This role is critical to ensuring medical device components and finished products meet internal specifications and regulatory requirements, supporting product safety, performance, and compliance with FDA and ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of medical device components and finished goods
• Conduct inspections using visual methods, measurement tools, and test equipment in accordance with documented procedures
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection plans
• Accurately document inspection results in quality systems and inspection records, following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Identify, document, and report nonconforming material; support MRB activities as needed
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits as required
• Maintain a clean, organized inspection area and adhere to safety standards

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred
• 1-3 years of quality inspection experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device experience preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, microscopes, and related measurement tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
• Basic computer skills with experience using quality systems or ERP/MES platforms
